KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Nepal Swimming Association (NSA) is set to hold the Central Regional Swimming Tournament on October 1 and 2 in the capital to select players for the Seventh National Games to be held in Eastern Region.
According to NSA, it is set to organize the selection event earlier as the temperature of the swimming pool in the cold weather will not be favorable for the event.

Altogether 33 swimmers, including 20 men and 13 women, will be selected from the event to be held at the Satdobato Swimming Pool, Lalitpur, informed Ashok Bajracharya, president of the association. A coach and a manager will be in the team for the finals.
Similarly, Eastern Region will organize the selection event on October 2 and 3 in Itahari, while Western Region is set to select players on October 3 and 4 in Pokhara.
12 men and six women swimmers will take part in the finals from Eastern and Western regions respectively.
Similarly, six men and four women players each from Mid-western and Far-western regions will be selected for the games, according to Bajracharya.
