“This fair will give a boost to small and cottage industries that are going through tough times,” reads a press release issued on Monday by the fair organizing committee.
According to the release, the fair will showcase about five dozen local products such as jute, soup, biscuit, rice, oil and ghee.
"Inter-college music competition, child entrepreneurship talent show and different shows by the national level artists will be organized on the sidelines of the fair,” said Nar Singh Agrawal, coordinator of the committee.
The organizers are also conducting different training programs for local entrepreneurs and farmers.
"The trainings will be important to enhance the quality of local products," Agrawal said. "We are expecting around 10,000 visitors a day during the two-week fair.”
