The proposal for sending the Bill presented by Minister for Law, Justice, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Affairs, Narahari Acharya, to the concerned committee for deliberation was approved by the majority. The delay in the passage of the bill has stalled the reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructures in the earthquake.
The bill is being sent to the committee for further modification. Meanwhile, Industry, Commerce and Consumers' Welfare Committee Chairman Bhismaraj Angdambe tabled the annual report of the Industry, Commerce and Consumers' Welfare Committee, 2072 at the parliament. The report comprises the activities undertaken by the Committee during the fiscal year 2071/72 BS.

Angdambe informed the parliament that at the initiative of the Committee the Automated Pricing System was implemented in the Nepal Oil Corporation which drew a profit of Rs 20 billion.
The CA member also stressed on reducing the electricity burden to expand and develop industrial sector and business while underlining the need for making various acts and regulations time bound. Angdambe accused the government and its subordinate bodies for failing to heed to the consumers' rights and called for reformation in the days ahead. RSS
