Rapist father jailed for 25 years

HETAUDA, July 16: The Makwanpur District Court has sentenced Bhim Bahadur Subedi, a resident of Hetaunda Municipality-4, to 25 years in prison on the charge of raping his daughter, Monday. A single bench of the District Court Judge, Tek Narayan Kunwar, handed down the decision to this effect on Sunday.



Subedi had raped his daughter the night of April 24 while she was alone at home. Neighbours had informed the police after hearing the girl scream and Subedi was apprehended. The court handed down 15-year imprisonment for rape and an additional 10-year imprisonment for incest on Subedi.
