KATHMANDU, May 16: Ramji Dahal, who had lost the election for the post of General Secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) by three votes to Om Sharma, has filed an application at the Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) requesting a recount of the votes alleging irregularities.

“The fact that my representative was not present during the counting process is a breach of the election working procedures 2067,” claimed Dahal.

He also said that the counting process was not fair. He said that he had lodged a complaint with the Central Election Committee before the announcement of results, but the Committee declined to recount the votes.

Dahal said he was left with no option but to approach the DAO for justice.
