KATHMANDU, April 8: Both domestic and international flights have been unable to land or take off at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu due to technical problem with the radar on Wednesday.

The radar developed snags about a couple of days ago and would take at least two weeks to fix the problem, an official at the airport said. However, Dinesh Shrestha, the General Manager at TIA, said that the flights were delayed due to the weather conditions.[break]

"Due to poor visibility, flights have been delayed," Shrestha said while adding that TIA is conducting maintenance of radar system from April 9 to 23. During the maintenance period, the airport will be on operation.

"Some flights can be delayed during the period, but the operation will continue," he added.
