Punish Maoists as per international law: Paudel

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel, commenting on the murder of journalist Dekendra Thapa, said the Maoists involved in war crimes during the insurgency should be tried and punished as per international laws.



Speaking at a program in Reporters Club Nepal on Tuesday, Paudel said, “The Maoists made the people feel insecure. They should be brought to justice according to international laws.” [break]



Paudel also stressed that the president should take early measures for resolution of the crisis in the country. “The president cannot afford to be unsuccessful. He should give an outlet to the country.”
