Protesters' stone-pelting kills youth in Nepalgunj

Nepalgunj, Sep 4: A youth died here after protesters hurled stone at the bike he was on for apparently 'violating' a banda called by the demonstrators. 



22-year old Karan Singh was killed in the incident when the protesters hurled stones at him at Ganapur-2. Piprahawa chowk of Banke district, SP Basant Panta of Banke District Police office stated.

His bike -Bhe-5-Pa 825o- was headed to Kohalpur from Nepalgunj at around 3:30 pm when the protesters hurled stones at them at Piprahawa Chowk.


Binod Shahi, who was seated at the rear of the bike has been injured in the incident. 

The police had rushed them both to the Kohalpur based Nepalgunj Medical College, Teaching Hospital. Karan was declared dead on arrival. 

Shahi is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
