KATHMANDU, Jan 18: At a time when the international community has urged the government to set up a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in line with international standards, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Friday claimed that the ordinance related to TRC that has been forwarded to the president is in accordance with the international standards.

Addressing an interaction in the capital, Prime Minister Bhattarai expressed concerns over the delay by the president in endorsing the draft ordinance. “Formation of TRC would help victims get justice but this has not been possible due to lack of consensus.”[break]
