Prime pulled off a 43-33 victory over Premier College in the final match played at the National Sports Council covered hall as Gyanu Gauchan scored 17 points for the winning side.[break]
Prime took the first quarter 11-6 but Premier bounced back in the second quarter scoring 15 points against Prime´s 12. The scores were level at 23-23 until the first minute of the third quarter, but Prime dominated the remaining part of the match and sealed victory. Prime scored 12 points in the third quarter while Premier added only eight points. In the last quarter, Prime scored eight points against Premier´s four.
Priti Tulachan of Prime was adjudged the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament. Tulachan was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
"I´m extremely happy to win the title and MVP award. Premier threw a tough challenge in the first two quarters but we put in team effort and improved our defense in the last quarter to win the title," said Tulachan.

Winner Prime received the winner´s trophy and Rs 60,000 while runner-up Premier got Rs 30,000.
"We had lost to Premier in the final of Prime Cup by three points last November and beating them now has given me immense pleasure," said Prime coach Bikash Shahi.
TIA Club finished third in the tournament organized by Nepal Confederation of Sports (NECOS). TIA defeated Sunsari 38-26 in the play-off as Shanti Shrestha scored 13 points. TIA received Rs 20,000 while Sunsari got Rs 10,000. Sunsari also won the fair play award that included a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Chitwan received the award for ´emerging team´ along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, CPN-UML leader Ashta Laxmi Shakya and National Sports Council Member Secretary Yuvaraj Lama gave away the prizes to the winners. Altogether eight teams, including three from outside Kathmandu Valley, had participated in the tournament.
