Prez's 6th deadline to pick consensus PM ending today

KATHMANDU, Dec. 29: The sixth deadline given by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav for political parties to pick a consensus candidate for the formation of a national unity government and council of ministers is expiring on Saturday.



But, the political parties during the time held no formal meeting. President Dr Yadav had left for formal visit of India on December 24 by extending the deadline for forging consensus.



President Dr Yadav is extending the deadline upon the request of the political parties. First the first time on November 23, the President had urged the political parties to forge consensus for the formation of the national unity government in according to article 38 (1) of Interim Constitution.
