During the meeting, which started at 8:00 am and lasted about an hour, Yadav and Koirala dwelt on contemporary political issues related to the peace and constitution drafting processes. [break]
The two are learnt to have discussed the political situation that could possibly arise after August 13 and formation of a new government.
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has already announced that he would leave office if no substantial progress is achieved in the ongoing peace and constitution writing processes.
On the occasion, President Yadav is also said to have asked Koirala to take initiative for assuming leadership of the next government taking the UCPN (Maoist) into confidence.
