The president had reached Kuwait on Friday at the invitation of his Kuwaiti counterpart Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Aal-Sabah to attend the 50th National Day and 20th Independence Day celebration of the kingdom.
Vice President Paramananda Jha, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, ministers, chiefs of constitutional bodies and senior government officials, among others, received the president at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
During his stay in Kuwait, President Dr Yadav held meetings with former UN secretary general Kofi Annan, former British prime minister Tony Blair, Australian Governor-General Quentin Alice Bryce AC, Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna and heads of states from various countries.
