Prez confers honorary rank to Kapoor

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav conferred the honorary rank of General of the Nepal Army to Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor in a ceremony on Thursday.

It’s a tradition to confer the honorary rank to the visiting army chief. The Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Chhatra Man Singh Gurung received the similar rank during his India visit.
