KATHMANDU, July 29: A petition has been filed at the Supreme Court on Wednesday challenging the President's decision to pardon the remaining fine and jail term slapped on former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Pradeep Jung Pandey.
Advocates Roshan Kumar Jha, Suresh Mahato and Prabhu Chandra Jha filed the petition on Wednesday arguing that the move of pardoning Pandey is against the criteria set by the government on presidential pardon as well as other legal provisions as Pandey was punished in a corruption case.
