Talking to journalists, Gurung claimed that the front was compelled to announce the agitation programs after their demands were not addressed.
He added that the agitating parties, however, would take part in the election process if the demands were met.
Gurung was of the view that the government paid no heed to their demands despite it was told to play the role of facilitator.
The CPN-Maoist secretary said that they came to meet the President as the top body of the State after the government and the five-party political mechanism turned adamant to call the roundtable conference.
According to Gurung, the President told the representatives of the delegation to hold discussions with the procedures and process to move ahead to resolve the crisis.
Likewise, the President urged the leaders of the agitating parties to take part in the election and resolve the problems through talks by withdrawing all the agitation programmes.
