Inaugurating the five-day Bhanu Festival organized on Monday, President Yadav said the political parties should forge consensus and coordination to take the peace peace process to its logical end and draft the constitution as people have wished for peace and timely constitution. [break]
Stating that idols of the late Adhikavi Bhanubhakta were constructed and his works were honored in abroad, the President said government should pay due attention to develop Chundi Ramgha, the birthplace of Adhikavi Bhanubhakta, as a tourism spot along with the development of the Nepali language and literature in this area.
The president further said that the government was effortful for the promotion of poets, litterateurs, artists and scholars.
Saying we should feel pride in being Nepalis, the President said we should move ahead by protecting other languages and ethnic groups´ identities as well.
Coordinator of the Bhanu Festival Main Organizing Committee Shree Bhakta Acharya chaired the programme while Executive Director of the Bhanu Janmasthan Development Committee Nabin Dahal and former education minister Modnath Prashit including others expressed their opinions on different aspects of Bhanubhakta.
A total of 50 stalls of different items have been kept in the festival.
On the occasion, manuscript of the Ramayan was displayed while different cultural processions were also also organized. Likewise different literary figures were also honored.
