Police seize tax evaded goods

SURUNGA (Jhapa), Sept. 18: The Baniyani-based Border Security Office of the Armed Police Force (APF) seized goods worth Rs 750,000 while being imported by evading taxes in Jhapa district on Thursday.

A team of Sub-Inspector of the APF Bir Bahadur Rai-led team seized 18 sacks of urea fertilizer from the Nepal-India border area in the district. The smugglers had used a van (me 1 Jha 2008) for the import of the urea fertiliser, it is said. Police also seized some tax evaded clothes from Bhadrapur Municipality-3.


All the seized goods were submitted to the Mechi Customs Office, Kakadbhitta, on Thursday, police said. RSS
