KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Nepal Police have seized a petroleum tanker belonging to controversial Birat Petroleum from Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Police took hold of the tanker from Dilli Bazaar, Kalikasthan on the charge of selling petrol to the consumers without fulfilling legal procedures.

Police seized the tanker as the company was found to have selling the petrol directly to the consumers from the premises of proposed National Medical College at Kalikasthan.
The seized tanker has been kept at Metropolitan Police Circle at Singh Durbar.
According to SSP Bikram Singh Thapa, Chief at Kathmandu Police, they seized the tanker and preceded legal investigation acting on a complaint that Birat petroleum is selling the petrol directly to consumers.
