Poacher killed in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, Nov 27: A poacher was killed in an encounter with park security officials at Chitwan National Park on Friday, according to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation. The department said the details of the person killed are yet to be received.



Meanwhile, the Warden´s Office of the Chitwan National Park has made public two poachers who were arrested from the park area on November 23.



The two accused, Prem Mahato and Chintamani Gurung, were arrested along with a German automatic weapon and five bullets for their involvement in illegal trade in rhino horns. The two hail from Koluwa, Nawalparasi, according to the department.
