“We cannot reach any conclusion on resolving the problems by the means of strikes and protests. It would only invite further confrontation. Therefore, let´s sit together to find a solution through dialogues,” he said while responding to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu upon his arrival from Copenhagen.
He said this was the time to consolidate the strength of all the political parties in making the new constitution and taking the peace process to a logical end in consensus rather than taking to the streets.
He returned home on Sunday after attending the UN Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Prime Minister Nepal said that the summit could not be as successful as expected due to complexities of the particular issue [climate change].

India reiterates support to govt
PM Nepal said India was in favor of continuity of the incumbent government. Indian PM Man Mohan Singh expressed his confidence that Nepal-headed government would be able to find an outlet to the present political stalemate, he said.
PM Nepal had left for Copenhagen on December 14 and addressed the UN Climate Change Conference on December 16. During his address to the conference, PM Nepal urged the international community to be more serious toward temperature rise in the Himalayas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has said the visit has provided a historic opportunity for Nepal to present its case as a country at the receiving end of the problem of climate change and to highlight its adverse impacts on Nepal´s Himalayas as well as on the life and livelihoods of about 1.3 billion people living in the river basins in South Asia.
"The holding of a cabinet meeting at the Everest Base Camp at Kalapatthar (5,542 metres) on December 4 has been able to put the problem of climate change into proper perspective and to create a strong sense of urgency to address the problem so as to reduce its negative effects in the Himalayan region," the statement issued by the MoFA said.
Nepal´s vulnerabilities in terms of climate change and the challenge of meeting the government´s development goals and objectives have received wider global attention by the participation in the Copenhagen Climate Conference at the highest political level, it said.
