PM to Prez: Maoists not serious on constitution making

KATHMANDU, April 16: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal briefed President Dr Ram Baran Yadav that the Unified CPN (Maoist) had not been serious towards constitution writing on Friday.



During a regular meeting, PM Nepal stressed on the common consensus among political parties at the time when the deadline for constitution is approaching.[break]



He also told President Yadav that he has been trying hard for the conclusion of peace process while briefing about the meeting of the Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist Combatants on Friday morning that was attended by senior leaders of six political parties.



President Yadav stressed on agreement and co-operation between parties to reach the set goal in time.
