PM seeks Koirala's help for consensus

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Monday morning met Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and urged him to take an initiative for political consensus so that new elections could be held in April-May.



During the meeting held at Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj, PM Bhattarai told the NC president that he would not be a hindrance to any agreement to be made at top political level. [break]



“I am ready make sacrifice for the sake of consensus,” Bhattarai told Koirala. The PM also informed Koirala about the government preparation for bringing an ordinance to fill the vacant posts of justices at the apex court and asked Koirala for help in getting the ordinance endorsed.
