PM Oli visits Hindustan Unilever in Mumbai

MUMBAI (India), Feb 24: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on a six-day state visit to India, has today visited Hindustan Unilever Limited, located at the Industrial Park in Mumbai, and took stock about its products and global marketing network.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Sanjeev Mehta, briefed Prime Minister Oli about its working network. The company has been producing different types of consumer goods and exporting them to different countries of the world.Chairperson of Unilever Nepal, Pradeep Banerjee, and industrialist Rabi Bhakta Shrestha, familiarized the company about the possibilities of increasing its investment in Nepal. The company is one of the biggest companies in India.

The Nepali delegation proposed the company to increase investment in Nepal and for collaboration in producing goods in Nepal and exporting to India as Special Economic Zones (SEZ) have been established, there are flexible labour laws and environment is conducive for security of the investment in Nepal.

Prime Minister Oli is accompanied by Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi, Chief Executive Officer at the Nepal Investment Board, Radhes Panta, and other entrepreneurs.

PM Oli is scheduled to return home today. RSS
