PM Nepal arrives Brussels

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal reached Brussels of Belgium on Sunday to attend the special discussion on least developed countries (LDCs) upon the invitation of European Commission´s Chairman Jose Manuel Barroso.



Nepali Ambassador to European Union Pramesh Kumar Hamal and officials of the Belgium government welcomed PM Nepal at the Brussels Airport. [break]



PM Nepal is accompanied by his Foreign Affairs Advisor Rajan Bhattarai, Nepali Permanent Representative to UN Gyanchandra Acharya, Joint-Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Dhananjaya Jha, Chief of Protocol Muktinath Bhatta and PM´s body guard Colonel Man Basnet.



PM Nepal is scheduled to address the inaugural session of the European Development Day today.



Belgium Prince Philippe, Chairman of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, Prime Minister of Belgium Yves Leterme, General Manager of the IMF and Chairman of European Commission Barrosso will also address the session.



PM Nepal will address as the chair of the coordinating bureau of the LDCs in the high level panel on the challenges of the LDCs on Tuesday, informed the Nepali Embassy, Brussels, Belgium.
