Thapa also said that Khanal also held consultations with the president on the annual budget for the next fiscal year during the meeting.
´´Political disputes will not impact economic activities of the country,” Thapa quoted the prime minister as telling the president.
According to him, Khanal also told the president that the government would bring budget on time after taking the political parties into confidence.
He also said the government is aware of the consequences of tabling the budget in the parliament and would not do so this time.
During the meeting, the president emphasized the need for political consensus on all the political issues.
