The prime minister reached Mustang to observe Nepal-China border and security situation in the district, according to his Press Advisor, Bishnu Rijal.
Nepal is also scheduled to attend a function organized by Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) in the district. Minister for Forest, Deepak Bohara, also is accompanying the prime minister.
The UML leaders accompanying the prime minister are KP Oli, Amrit Bohara, Pradip Nepal, Raghuji Pant and Shrimaya Thakali.
The prime minister is scheduled to return Kathmandu Saturday afternoon, Rijal said.
The government is planning to deploy Armed Police Force along the Nepal-China border. Mustang is considered one of the sensitive districts in view of frequent Tibetans´ protests against the Chinese government.
