PM expresses grief over Anandi devi's demise

KATHMANDU, March 15: Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal on Tuesday said the death of Chairperson of Nepal Sadhbhawana Party (Anandidevi) Anandidevi Singh has saddened him.



Anandidevi, the wife of founder of Nepal Sadhbhawana Party Gajendra Narayan Singh, died in Saptari on Monday. [break]



Issuing a condolence message, the Prime Minister offered condolence to the grieving family of Anandidevi, her relatives and well wishers.



The death of 85-year-old Anandidevi is a great loss to women, who have been fighting for dignity in Madhesh, in their political participation and awareness campaign, the message read.



Khanal also hailed her contribution to the second Jana Andolan in 2062/063 and fight against regressive forces.
