People march for peace

KATHMANDU, April 14: Civil society organized marches in Kathmandu and other parts of the country to pressure political parties to complete the peace process and constitution writing on time.



A march went through Ratnapark, Bhadrakali and New Road before converging into a mass gathering at Basantapur. [break]



Participants carried placards demanding peace and constitution on time, and improvement in law and order situation.



Politicians including Nepali Congress leaders Ram Chandra Paudel, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat and CPN-UML leader KP Oli, civil society members, intellectuals and professionals participated in the march.



The CPN-UML´s Youth Force also participated in the march.
