Peace process to continue even if Maoist splits: Minister

BUTWAL, Oct 3: Local Development Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi on Monday stated that the ongoing peace process won’t be stalled even if the the Maoist party splits. 



Speaking at a press conference in Butwal, the UCPN (Maoist) Standing Committee member said that his party is ready to face any kind of challenge to give the peace process a logical end. [break]



He also opined that the internal rift seen within the party will dissolve once the peace process moves forward.



Minister Rayamajhi said that, "The regrouping process will start soon; discussion with Nepali Congress and CPN-UML is on to solve all the contentious issues." People want to see the peace and constitution drafting processes brought to its logical conclusion, this desire will sidelined those against peace, he stated.



He further added that people have regained their lost hopes with this government and that his party is committed towards ending the political stalemate in the country.



 "If leaders rise above personal gain then the problem shrouding the nation shall dissolve soon."
