KATHMANDU, March 30: A man who had been out of contact for more than a month has been found dead in Taplejung.
According to the District Police Office, Taplejung, the deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Yamraj Limbu, a resident of Myanglung Municipality-1 in Terhathum district who was working at the under-construction Upper Tamor Hydropower Project in Taplejung.

Police spokesperson and information officer Inspector Jatashankar Yadav said Limbu’s body was discovered on March 28 in the Methen Khola at Khejenim of Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-2.
Police said Limbu had left the project site at Tapethok in Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-5 on February 20, telling colleagues he was heading home. However, he did not reach his family or contact the hydropower project afterward.
After losing contact with him for an extended period, his family filed a missing person complaint with the District Police Office on March 14.
Police launched a search operation following the complaint. On March 28, after receiving information about an unidentified body found in Methen Khola, a police team led by an inspector reached the site and identified the body as Limbu based on the description provided in the missing person report.
