Peace process to conclude in few days: Dahal

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the peace process will conclude in a few days.



Speaking in a greetings exchange cum tea reception organized on the occasion of the Nepal Sambat New Year 1132 in Kirtipur on Friday, the Maoist chairman said that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission on the Status of the Disappeared People would also be formed within a few days.[break]



He said the intensive discussions held with the Nepali Congress in the past few days has made him hopeful and that every possible effort would be made to bring the preliminary draft of the constitution within November 30.



The UCPN (Maoist) chairman who is also the former prime minister said a new constitution as desired by the Nepali people would be made by the Constituent Assembly itself even by extending its term.



Central members of the UCPN (Maoist), CA members from that party, party cadres and local people attended the reception.
