Former Minister Gurung stressed the need of consensus and collaboration among the parties to bring the major tasks of peace and constitution to conclusion.

He accused the foreign forces of directly engaging in making decisions about Nepal despite the presence of political parties and CA.

Various power centres have played games to widen rift among the parties, leader Gurung said, stressing that the transition should be put to an end at the earliest.

Peace process and constitution drafting will not be a success in the absence of consensus among parties, said leader Gurung, expressing confidence the formation of the present government will give a new message.

Making it clear that the seven-point deal with CPN-UML was for power sharing, he underlined the need that the issues centering on the deal should be equally implemented by both the sides.

He expressed confidence that consensus will be made soon though there are some difficulties caused by complexities and differences within CPN-UML.

The current path chosen by UCPN (Maoist) is appropriate, leader Gurung said this while giving interview to a local FM Radio Lamjung. The party is moving on a right track however there are some lapses.

Though monarchy was made a history, there is long way to go to institutionalize republic in the country, he added.

Various political forces are maneuvering in the transitional stage of the country and Nepal is still under semi-colony state, he asserted.
