Patients hit hard due to doctors strike

KASKI, Lekhnath, July 31: Medical services at Manipal Teaching Hospital, the largest hospital in the Western Region, have been hit due to the doctors´ strike.



The patients visiting the hospital are facing great deal of inconvenience after the doctors there started a ´pen-down´ strike. More than 700 patients come to the hospital daily, it is stated.[break]



All services except the emergency service at the hospital are closed since the last three days.



The doctors have demanded an increase in their salary in tune with the time. The foreign doctors have also joined their Nepali colleagues in the indefinite strike.
