Pandit Pokharel eyeing Guinness Book entry

MORANG, March 19: Pandit Dinbandhu Pokhrel, who collects fund reciting Purans (mythical stories) organizing religious functions, said that he would record his name in Guinness Book of World Records.



Pokhrel made the claim on Friday while he was reciting Purans in a Mahayagya organized at Pokharia of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City.



He claimed that he had collected around eight billion rupees. “I’ve been the first person to collect such a large amount through religious function that I made this claim,” said Pokhrel. He said he would go to London soon to forward the process.
