Pandey elected for ACC vice-president

KATHMANDU, June 1: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) president Binay Raj Pandey has been elected as vice-president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).



The ongoing annual general assembly being held in Singapore elected Pandey for the post on Thursday.[break]



Likewise, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Mostafa Kamal has been appointed the 21st president of the ACC. A senior political figure in Bangladesh, Kamal takes over from PCB chairman Ijaz Butt and will hold the post for the next two years.



"I consider this as a great honor for Bangladesh. I wish to thank everyone for their support and seek cooperation from all ACC Member nations so that we can take Asian cricket to new heights," Kamal told * cricinfo.com.
