The deceased has been identified as Soniya Begha, 11, the daughter of Bhakti Prasad of Chayangthapu-9 VDC. [break]
Property worth around Rs 7,00, 00, 000 was also said to have been destroyed when fire engulfed the houses of Ram Kumar Nugo, Damabar Kumar Begha, Prem Sangraula, Mahendra Begha, Khadga Gurung, Bhim Gautam ,Rajendra Gurung, Krishna Rai, Rajan Rai and Ganga Rai.
According to Gopal Dhakal, police Inspector at district police office Panchathar, the fire started from the house of Ram Kumar Nugo at11.30 pm due to an electric short circuit.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force with the help of locals had brought the fire under control at around 1 am early this morning.

According to Durga Bahadur Magar, an assistant sub-Inspector of the nearby police station, food grains, clothes, utensils and other valuables inside the houses have been burnt down in the fire.
An additional police team led by inspector Gopal Dhakal, along with medical and Red Cross staffs have been sent to the incident site, said Yagya Prasad Acharya, the chief district officer.
According to him, a meeting of the Natural Disaster Rescue Committee held this morning, has decided to provide Rs 40,000 cash to the kin of the victim who lost life and Rs 5,000 each to those who lost properties in the incident.
