One more killed in elephant attack

JANAKPUR, Dec 25: The latest in the series of human deaths from elephant attacks, one person died in Sarlahi district on Friday morning.



The deceased has been identified as Thule Rimal, 40, of Pattharkot-5. The elephant entered a village close to the forest and tore Rimal apart, according to Sub-Inspector Krishna Adhikari of Area Police Office, Lalbandi. Rimal, who was mentally challenged, was unmarried.



Sixteen people have been killed in elephant attacks in Udayapur, Sindhuli, Dhanusha and Sarlahi districts in a month.
