Assistant driver of a tractor (Ko 1 Ta 6133) Bibek Gurung died when it fell off 50 meters down from the roadside along the Dharan-Biratnagar route, said police.
Tractor driver Rajan Magar sustained critical injuries in the incident.
Similarly, six people were injured in another accident when two vans (Ko 1 Ja 1336 and Ko 1 Ja 355) collided with each other near the Charkoshe Jhadi in the district.
Police said thick mist might be the cause for the accidents.
