The bus (Na 3 Kha 6230), while carrying a wedding party from Mayurbasti of Kalika VDC to Tulsipur abruptly lost control and met with a mishap at Ganeshchowk of Tulsipur at 11:15 am. The identity of the deceased is unknown yet. [break]
Of the injured, 16 are receiving treatment at the district hospital in Gulariya, while two others, who were seriously injured, have been referred to the Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital for further treatment. The bus driver is on the run.
Incidentally, a police patrol van was heading to Tulsipur some distance ahead of the ill-fated bus. Police said further loss of human lives was averted as police immediately got to know about the accident and came for rescue.
