One die, schools closed as cold wave hits Parsa

PARSA, Jan 7: One more person has died of cold in Parsa.



According to police, 10-year-old Lal Mohammad, the son of Shesh Mohammad of Janakitole, Parsa succumbed to the cold.



Parsa has been hit by a cold wave and heavy fog since the past few days.



Just three days earlier, Jaya Singh Yadav,60, of Birgunj Sub-metropolis-18 had died of cold.



Meanwhile, owing to the cold wave and dip in the mercury, majority of the primary and community schools in the district have been closed.



The schools have been closed after the number of students coming went down significantly, the District Education Office, Parsa said.
