Number of cholera patients up in capital

KATHMANDU, Aug. 25: The Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital has said that the number of people suffering from cholera has increased of late.

As many as 60 patients have received treatment at the hospital so far from the beginning of the month of August, according to the Hospital.


The number of patients suffering from cholera has increased due to the contaminated water. Mostly, people from Kuleshwor, Teku, Kalimati, Kalanki and Sanepa have been found infected with the disease.

Some of the patients are undergoing treatment at the Hospital while others have already returned home after the treatment.

According to the Hospital, a total of 40 people suffering from cholera had received treatment at the Hospital during the corresponding period of the last year. RSS
