Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi administered oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed board members, said a press statement issued by the central bank.[break]
Dr Poudyal and Dr Aryal were appointed as per the cabinet decision of March 29.
According to the statement, Dr Poudyal, who is also a senior economic advisor at the Ministry of Finance (MoF) completed his PhD in economics from Delhi University and master´s in economics from Manchester University, London.
Dr Aryal, who spent 32 years as civil servant, completed PHD in demography from Adelaide University, Australia, and obtained his master´s degree in economics from Tribhuvan University.
“They will be serving NRB for five years,” reads the statement.
