NPC edged past New Diamond Academy, Kathmandu 25-15, 25-11, 23-25, 25-17 in the final played at the Court of Public Higher Secondary School. [break]
NPC received Rs 100,101 along with the championship trophy while runner-up New Diamond bagged Rs 50,101.
NPC´s Chuda Khadka was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament. She got Rs 25,000. Meanwhile, New Diamond Captain Ramila Tandukar received the award of the best spiker while her teammates Salina Shrestha and Kripa Adhikari were adjudged the best defender and the best lifter. New Diamond also bagged the fair play trophy while NPC´s Kopila Upreti got the best blocker award.
Meanwhile, Armed Police Force (APF) Club defeated Western Region Volleyball Association 25-23, 15-25, 18-25, 25-10, 16-14 to claim third place of the tournament. APF received Rs 25,101. Semifinalist Western Region got Rs 10,000.
