No work in Birgunj dry port

BIRGUNJ, Nov 16: The dry port in Sirsiya has been brought to standstill after Madhesi Workers Forum came up with indefinite strike demanding salary hike by 70 per cent.



They halted all works in the port demanding an increase of salary by 70 per cent saying that their perks and benefits have not been reviewed for the past seven years.



The strike of the workers have hit hard the revenue collection and affected the smooth operation of business and industry.
