Gajurel, who is from the party´s hard-line faction, stated that the integration process cannot move ahead without finalizing the standard norms and modality of the integration.[break]
"To categorize the PLA personnel without any agreement on the modality and standard norms would be like making preparations to cook rice without rice at hand,” said Gajurel.
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has stated that he would resign if there is no concrete deal on the integration process.
Major parties are in sharp differences over the issues of modality, number, standard norms and rank harmonization to take the integration process ahead.
Gajurel, who is also the party secretary, stated that the party would send PLA personal security details to the cantonments as soon as the government makes alternative arrangement for the security of Maoist leaders. The party hard-line faction leaders are yet to send back their PLA security guard, although the party has already decided to send them back to the cantonments.
