Political consensus cannot be forged for the management of PLA fighters if the Maoist party is ready to accept the model proposed by NA, said Deuba speaking at a program on Tuesday. He said PLA combatants should be integrated by winning the NA´s confidence.[break]
NC has taken the NA´s proposal positively and said there is no alternative to national consensus, said Deuba.
He said that army integration and management will succeed certainly if UCPN-Maoist follows the Comprehensive Peace Accord and 12-point deal.
Meanwhile, NC Vice-president and Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel said a national consensus government can be formed if the present coalition is dissolved.
He stressed for scrapping the seven-point deal to press the government into formation of a consensus government.
Paudel said NC has not yet reached conclusion whether to extend the Constituent Assembly tenure or not.
