KATHMANDU, April 17: After “Chaukhat” (Threshold) made Nepal’s debut at the Cannes Film Festival and “Awaken Eyes” followed on its heels, another Nepali film, “Where is the story?”, completed the hat trick for Nepal. [break]

That’s three entries in a row—in a year!

“Where is the story?” is an experimental film by Manoj Babu Panta. In the film, student filmmakers are out in search of a story, and as they roam around in a dumping site, they find an interesting character who has been a victim of several wars. The film is presented as if it were recorded live and edited on camera.

Panta’s film will now be screened alongside Deepak Rauniyar’s debut film “Chaukhat” and Binod Paudel’s “Awaken Eyes” in the non-competitive category in the short film section during the 12-day festival.
