Nepali Women At The Crossroads launched

KATHMANDU, April 2: Litterateur Abhi Subedi and Constituent Assembly member Suprabha Ghimire jointly launched Nepali Women at the Crossroads, a book by women activist and social worker Prativa Subedi on Sunday.



The book advocates current thinking and theories on gender and development, feminism, human rights and real issues faced by Nepali women.



Commenting on the book, litterateur Subedi said that the book was a major work by an insider who has witnessed the ups and downs of women´s movement. “The book narrates the story of individual women in an interesting way and also links the global issues with local issues of Nepali women.”



Similarly, CA member Ghimire said that the book depicts Nepali women´s hardship and role assigned to them in the patriarchal society.



Subedi has been working in the field of women empowerment for the last two decades.



This is Subedi´s fourth book on women´s issue. The book is priced at Rs 300.
