SEOUL, Jan 5: A Nepali woman has been languishing in a prison in Korea for three months now.

The Gurung woman from Gorkha was arrested on October 28 last year and has been detained at Chanju prison. She said in telephone conservation that she has committed no crime.

The woman, who is from a poor financial background, arrived in Korea on October 16 after entering into a fake marriage with a Korean man. She complained that she was tortured by the man during the week that she lived with him. The Nepali Embassy here has prepared documents to secure her return to Nepal.

Nepali nationals in Korea have collected money to buy her a return ticket. She is likely to return to Nepal on January 7.
